Sydney Road Street Party
Last sunday was the Sydney Road Street Party. They shut Sydney road from Victoria to Barkly Streets.
It was a giant mix of cultures and craziness. There were stages with kids music playing, others with rockers and even one cranking out some middle eastern music (the hippies mind’s nearly blew at this).
The weather was perfect and everyone was having fun.
So much food on offer as well. Ice-cream too, although the queues for it were long with the hot weather.
It was a very interesting and random selection of those living in and around Brunswick. Here are some of the photos:
Portable DJ booth.
I can’t recall their name, but this guy was their singer.
The brass band playing amongst the crowd.
A mini rave.
This guy was creating this temporary art and all the donations were to go towards community radio.
Something for the alternative kids.
And an accordion band, just to round out the randomness of the occasion.
